Neck and Back Pain

At Melanie Massey Physical Therapy, we provide care for individuals with a variety of disorders or dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. Our Physical Therapists are skilled in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. Many of our therapists are IAOM trained/educated which incorporates manual therapy with exercise, patient education, and treatments that will help decrease the patient’s pain.

At MMPT, we are committed to finding the actual pain generator through a comprehensive and specific evaluation. We also address loss of function and restore skills basic to movement in order to return the individual to his/her desired level of physical activity.

Therapists are movement experts and in order to maximize health and function, we assess and treat not only the area of injury but associated areas as well. Studies show that a combination of manual therapy and exercises, typically to enhance core and spinal stability, can provide short- and long-term relief for people with neck and back pain.Our team at MMPT has over 100 years experience. One of our Physical Therapists holds a certification in orthopedic manual therapy of the spine (COMT), requiring 140 additional hours of specific education and over a year of preparation and testing.
